For the folks saying slavery was sooooo long ago. Let me drop a lil fact on your head. I was born in the 90s. My brother is the oldest and was born in 1982. We are the 4th generation born free. Born in the 80s. Only FOUR generations. No, slavery was not 300-400 years ago. That’s when it started. My Gramma’s Grandmother was born a slave. Stop trying to act like these aren’t our stories. My Gramma died in 2008, I spent most of my childhood talking and living with a woman who directly spoke with a freed woman. FOUR generations. Let that sink in.

The real stories are horrifying. If slavery was morally acceptable then why did Thomas Jefferson directed in his will to destroy the slave cabins at Monticello. He also took credit for their inventions and craftsmanship in his home that were the work of his slaves.
