📍 Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Moss Beach, CA 🪼 🚗 Free parking, it’s a small parking lot so come early or on a weekday and please be mindful of locals that live in the area 🚶🏻‍♀️ Easy 0.5 mile walk down to the beach and tide pools, there are stairs so please keep that in mind 🐶 No dogs allowed on beach, only on designated coastal trails ❌ This is a protected marine reserve, please no collecting!! 🚻 Bathrooms and water fountains are available in the parking lot 📝 One of my favorite past times is going tide pooling during low tide. I LOVE the ocean and seeing a completely different ecosystem and the different sea life that we forget exists! Tips for tide pooling: watch your step, look down, and take your time! Most times there is a lot to see even if at first glance it seems like there’s nothing there. Sea animals can camouflage and hide under rocks! If you decide to flip rocks, a general rule of thumb is to not flip rocks larger than your head, and make sure you gently turn them back over when you’re done.
