I had faith in God one day the eclipse was going on but the sky was cloudy like the whole sky was covered I wondered if I try and sit there to have faith so he would open the sky and let me see the eclipse to see if it would work and the sky opened in a perfect circle for me to see it clearly

It's both a metaphor and physically possible. Works in faith are a fulfillment of God's will. If God wants a mountain moved then a person's faith has the ability to make it happen. We have choice but His Will always is done in faith. If we do works without His Will we don't have faith to begin with.
