Let me make this clear; I still tip when I go out (which isn’t often) but I tip based on service not percentage. Our bill is never over $45 for the 3 of us, not including tip. What Im saying is, if you’re providing bad service then stop expecting to get 20% or more, why would I pay more for a terrible experience?? Times are hard for everyone right now and I don’t have the money to just give out for no reason. Also the tattoo artist comment is because I have one artist and Im always happy afterwards and have no problem in tipping her, it was just something else to add to make my hot take less intense lol

If you can’t afford to tip you most likely wouldn’t be able to afford a meal if restaurants paid servers a living wage. You said it yourself, times are rough and your little protest isn’t hurting the restaurant or corporate it’s just hurting the server that’s trying to pay their bills
