I blinked and missed the start of this. What supposedly triggered placing DC under what amounts to martial law? Are they designating Code Pink a terrorist threat or something? No riots. No threats. They deployed the National Guard in NYC after 9/11. I get the panic there -I worked blocks from the towers and we saw them fall - but I have to tell you, twitchy 19 years old with automatic rifles in the subways did not make us feel "safe." It's felt like trading one threat for another.
