@a_tinge_unhinged: So I stumbled into a karaoke place in Shibuya and it had completely open rooms with no pay wall.. so I figured I self checkout at the end! I sat down to get my life with all these anime classics that could never be available in America. As I was on my 4/5th song, an attendee came in and was like “this is not free”. First of all, his perfect English shocked me. Secondly, I felt read by his tone. I told him I was going to pay and figured I was gonna have to pay afterwards, he said no you have to pay first. So long story short, he escorted me upstairs and made me buy two drinks (both of which ended up being water because I don’t drink anything else) and then I was able to proceed with karaoke. I think it cost me about 25 bucks overall which is expensive for karaoke in Japan. 🤣 But I had a TIME with the song choices. This is from DEATH NOTE!! #karaokeinjapan #deathnoteopening #storytime
