The same argument people have showing they don't understand. Jesus taught about hell and paradise. For he himself went to hell first after his death and then led those captivity in paradise captive. Those old saints used to be in paradise before the Supreme sacrifice and paradise was close to hell(prison) seperated by a great gulf. After his death went to hell and preached to the souls in prison, and also took keys of death from satan. After that he went to paradise ad met that thief on the cross. He resurrected with those saints on sunday morning. Jesus didnt say soul existing after death is immortality. Immortality(eternal life) for those that accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior. But paradise is just a place of peace where souls wait for the resurrection of their bodies. On the same note, hell is a place where sinners wait for judgement day. So, remember after second resurrection hell delivered up the dead and they were thrown into lake of Fire. This is the second death(d3ath of both body and soul). But you always try to make things complicated for yourself, soul existence after physical death does not prove immortality. Satan is a spirit but he is not immortal. I am immortal than him for i have eternal life and in no wise shall i see death, that is seperationfrom God and at no time will i perish completely. As long as you will perish and be destroyed, it doesn't matter you stay billions of years, you are not immortal. Check the meaning of immortal brother.

hmmm really Sounds like a JW is speaking. But what about Mark 3 26-30 Jesus Clearly says ETERNAL DAMNATION. but also Jesus speaks of Matthew 8:12 & 13:42, 50 Luke 13:28 But also the bible speaks of this second death in Revelation 21:8. BUT let me ask you this was the story of Lazarus and the Rich man a parable of Not?
