lol there has always been regs and it don’t cost $1000. When I built my house you got the dimensions, where and height….many here didn’t put in right place but still get mail

yeah and I would tell the post office if they didn't deliver my mail I'd have every single employee arrested for stealing my mail which is a federal felony crime! my taxes pay for those employees to deliver my mail under all conditions! according to Federal conditions the mailbox has to be within 15 ft of the road, cannot be higher than 42 in above the road or lower than 36 in above the road! that is federal regulations, NO post office can deviate from federal regulations!

there a bunch of assholes that can't do there job because they thi k they are exempt from all laws they park in handicap spots because they have to deliver mail to an apt complex or they out your neighbors mail in you box even after they write your name on the box and yell at you to not write not at this address we ss when your neighbor puts your address on there mail

It took me a shovel, tape measure, bag of quikcrete and about 30 mins or so to put up a brand new mail box. Maybe cost me $40 for the mailbox, shovel and concrete.

There are well established regulations on mail boxes. if you want your mail delivered you keep your box up to code it’s that simple. Crying that it’s been out of compliance for years is just ridiculous. Maybe the delivery person cannot easily,comfortably or safely reach the box.
