Today we are back and I am showing you one of the easiest and most low maintenance plants you can grow. It also has lots of beneficial uses both in the garden and the kitchen. 📣Announcement, my brand new book Garden To Save The World is finally out in the UK and available to pre order abroad. In this book together we can explore the wonderful world of green living, and all the joys being outside in the garden can offer. Thank you so much to everyone who already has their copy, your support means the world to me 😊🌱 Mint has to be one of my favourite plants to grow, not only is is super easy and low maintenance but you can also grow an unlimited amount for free. It is a great herb to practice your propagation skills, or to place in a shaded part of the garden. However, please be careful! Always grow mint in containers and NOT out directly in your garden soil. Mint will soon spread throughout the garden and will take over. This might sound great but it’s very hard to stop once it happens and can also spill into your neighbours garden too. To avoid this, just make sure it’s planted in a string pot 😊 Mint is a perennial herb, which means it will keep coming back year after year. At the end of each growing season the plant will die back, but please don’t throw it away, as it will come back to life the following spring. You can get all sorts of fun mint flavours, including chocolate, orange and I’ve even seen citrus mint before, but for me you can’t beat British mint, or peppermint 🌱😊. Harvest it and use it in your cooking, to make mint sauce, or even in diy home projects such as oils, soaps and cleaning. I hope you are all having a lovely day, and I love you all, Joe 😊🌱💚 #mint #herbs #Sustainability #zerowaste #gardentips #gardening #ecotips
