I am new to the school system and first week we had 3 different dress days for which my kindergartener showed up in her own clothes, I am not buying Hawaiian or sports jerseys for dress up 😂

My son's teacher last year had the audacity to loudly remind my son to dress up the next day during dress up days. Ma'am, he didn't want to dress up like his favorite food. I'm not making him. Keep it simple. Fave color, PJs, hat day, wacky Wednesday and fave shirt. Done. Teachers don't need to buy a bunch of extra things to dress up and neither do parents.

As the mom of an 11th grader & an 8th grader I have some hope for the Prek-5th parents...they have less special dress up days the older they get! My high schooler only has 2 weeks of dress up days & she only participates in one of them.
