Cuban Comfort Chicken & Rice (Arroz con Pollo)🇨🇺 A Cuban classic — golden rice, juicy chicken, and that sneaky beer finish that makes everyone think you cooked all day. Trust me, this pot disappears fast.😉 Ingredients • 5 chicken thighs • Salt & pepper to taste • 1/2 tbsp oregano • 1/2 tbsp cumin • 1/2 tbsp paprika • Olive oil drizzle • 1 onion, diced • ¼ green bell pepper • ¼ red bell pepper • 4 garlic cloves, minced • 1/2 cup tomato sauce • 1 packet Sazón con achiote • 1 bay leaf • 2 cups water or white wine, plus 1 bottle of beer • 14 oz Valencia rice (regular long-grain works too) • 8 oz chicken broth • 1 cup peas • Roasted red peppers (pimientos) for garnish Preparation 1️⃣ Season chicken with salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, and paprika. Brown in olive oil and set aside. 2️⃣ Sauté onion, peppers, and garlic. Add tomato sauce, Sazón, bay leaf, and a little more paprika. 3️⃣ Add rice and sauté 2–3 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and water (or white wine). Add salt to taste. 4️⃣ Add chicken back in. Cover and cook on low 25–35 minutes until rice is tender. Pour in the beer, cover again, and let it sit 10 minutes. 5️⃣ Add peas and pimientos during the last 5 minutes. 6️⃣ Fluff, garnish, and serve warm. #fyp #fypシ #comfortfood #cuba #viral
