@pedsdoctalk: Anti-vax creators love throwing out confident-sounding claims hoping you won’t check the details. But when you do look… the claims fall apart fast. Here’s what the VAERS study they love to quote actually says: no pattern linking vaccines to SIDS. None. And here's what they leave out: ✔️ VAERS is a starting point, not proof. Anyone can submit anything. ✔️ SIDS risk peaks before 4 months-timing overlaps with early vaccines, but that’s not causation. ✔️ Decades of data show vaccinated babies have a lower risk of SIDS, partly because vaccines prevent illnesses that can interfere with breathing. And for the record? FDR had polio. The “transverse myelitis” theory is a historical outlier, not medical consensus. Science isn’t about memorizing every ingredient-it’s about knowing what matters for safety, effectiveness, and real-world impact. That’s what pediatricians are trained to do. Misinformation spreads fast. Let’s make the truth faster. Share this with a parent who’s seen these claims pop up in their feed, and follow @pedsdoctalk for more no-nonsense, evidence-based answers to the parenting questions that matter most. 98% of SIDS happen at night. Get your baby to sleep during the day.

sids is 100% vaccine related. cant believe pharma/insurance/dr kickback research didnt show it 🙄. it peaks at 4mos. thank god i became a nicu picu nurse in"99 when we were able to have real conversstions w/o drs being fearful! i learned so much from new drs & 80yr old drs! back then they were honest

If vaccines cause SIDS then why do countries like Japan and Sweden have some of the lowest rates of SIDS and a very similar vaccine schedule to the US? I’ll never understand why people think that the little amount of “research” they do is more valid than years of peer reviewed studies and evidence based practices.

If it’s unsafe sleep why isn’t it suffocation vs sids

What’s the safety data on toxic levels of aluminum in newborns? And at each recommended vaccine appointments??

Who is gonna tell them that SIDS happened WAY before and in much high numbers BEFORE vaccines were invented.

You can always rely on the CDC to find no link between vaccines and anything.

Sids occurs 1 day after a sunset…….Causation and correlation are so different. Our country is failing us in education!

My son at 3 weeks had a BRUE where he stopped breathing in his sleep. It only wasn’t SIDS because we were awake, started CPR, and got an ambulance. If we had been sleeping he would have died, and it wouod have been SIDS. He had yet to get a single vaccine at that point.

Can you give some insight on this: saw a video stating the aluminum found in vaccines can get to the brain and that it can stay there permanently/take decades to detox from. Any insights? For the record, I vaccine my children but this statement made me fearful

Huh! 🤔 Just because a cause and effect wasn’t verified doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist either

I fell down and my dad had a heart attack. A few people have experience a similar situation in the past 100 years. It’s definitely causation not correlation
