Seattle knew the Patriots were going with goal line defense which is a stacked box. And going to a pass play wasn’t a bad idea, if Wilson wouldn’t have thrown it so the defender could catch it. And for everyone yelling they should have ran it because Lynch was a beast🤣 there is no guarantee he would have scored, and Lynch had been stuffed numerous times that season in goal line plays or only needing 1-3 yards. In 2014, Lynch had a 20% touchdown conversion rate from the 1-yard line (1 touchdown on 5 carries). This is notably low compared to the narrative that he was “unstoppable” in short-yardage situations. In 2015, Lynch played only seven games due to injuries, carrying the ball 111 times for 417 yards and three touchdowns.

Seattle was out of timeouts, if they ran it once more and got stuffed game wld of been over, I the pass goes incomplete they get another play. How wld Carrol know that the Pats had prepared for that exact play? Still love my Pats, hoping for a playoff run this season.

Wonder when we’ll find out the true reason why Belichick did not play Malcolm Butler against the Eagles and cost the Pats another Super Bowl W. The Pats didn’t have one stop in that game meanwhile Butler sat the bench. Just One stop and Patriots win. Crazy!!
