I love this story, but I think it is also important to highlight that the only reason this was possible was due to Henrietta Swan Leavitt who was responsible for finding out that there was a relationship between the period of cephids and their luminosity. Hubble was obviously brilliant but he couldnt have done it without the work of Henritta, and I think it is quite sad that she is often forgotten or overlooked
