UK cities also doing this, tourism tax is nothing new and is essential for resorts to maintain areas due to over tourism.

we're putting tourist tax cos the cost of living in the city is too expensive and goes towards social housing.......let they still don't do anything about rich folk buying up property for Airbnb's to create more living spaces which would help transfer tourists into hotels, pub bnbs etc.
