My daughter had a phone interview with Tim Hortons about 2 years ago. He asked if she spoke punjabi. She told him no why would she? He then said thank you and we'll let you know. Then hung up. 🤬 I couldn't believe it.

this work hiring practice is all over our Canadian jobs my son and nephew can't get work over in bc. I'm the only born Canadian at my work place at pizza hut. I've tried having friends hired and they get pushed aside it's madness.

I was just at a Tim Hortons this morning and I asked the cashier after I got my coffee and my muffin if she could change some toonies into $10 she had no idea what I was talking about. I asked her can I please have this change transferred to a $10 bill And she had no idea for at least three minutes what I was trying to say. After a bit of time she finally understood but then she said oh I don’t have a $10 bill and I said that’s fine. You can give me $10 in two5 dollar bills and she looked at me and she looked at her cash quiz Lee and shook her head and said oh I don’t know what you mean like wow just wow don’t push someone on cash in the morning. It doesn’t understand the basics of being a cashier. I used to work at McDonald’s and I had way way tougher questions in cash than that.

Just don’t go there. The staff have a different understanding of what clean is and govt health inspectors look the other way for fear of being called racist.
