@hormonespecialist: Nearly 85,000 people wore light sensors for a week and were tracked for almost eight years. The results? More light at night meant up to a 67% higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes no matter your age, weight, or diet. Blue light from street lamps, TVs, and phones can disrupt your circadian rhythm and mess with blood sugar regulation. Here’s how to protect yourself while you sleep.
I KNEW IT!!!!!!!! I have always been so incredibly sensitive to light at night. The smallest light will wake me. I started wearing eye masks at night and it has been a game changer!

Is it more of an eye issue? Like, could eye masks help decrease risk?

I believe it, my migraines are triggered by light sensory issues, specifically when sleeping. Like if someone wakes me up abruptly in the middle of the night by turning the lights on, or if it’s storming and there is lightning. The number of migraines I’ve had since sleeping with ear plugs and an eye mask has drastically dropped.

Great! We’ve know led light and blue light is bad, but our government thinks it knows better and have made manufacturers cease incandescent bulb production! Where exactly can we get those now?! I have been hoarding mine for years but they all are giving out. Help!
