I have degenerative disc disease, 2 bulging discs and spinal stenosis. I can barely walk some days, can’t stand or sit in the same position for too long. It’s horrible. It’s pretty much ruined my social life as well.

Unless a person has had this happen then , they think we have low pain tolerance. They literally have NO idea! They get a simple strain in back n think they dying. 😂 It’s not funny but it validates.

I want you to understand, I am not downplaying or discrediting what you are feeling or going through, what I am saying is thatmasking the pain will limit you and will change you, I was give a gallon bag full of prescription bottles between muscle relaxers and oxy to take every 4 hrs, stadol nasal spray but I had 3 children under 5 and didn't want it around them, you are the only person that limits yourself nobody else

I have transverse myelitis which is a rare incurable disease, that causes the covering of my spinal cord to basically dissolve. I have 4 lesions on my spine and together, it is so incredibly painful. Even with my oxy 20, a normal pain day is about a 7. At times, the pain gets so bad and kut of control that the only solution is to hospitalize me for weeks at a time. I get high dose steroids (1000mg, once a day for up to a week) and a pain pump set to every 4 minutes! I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'd kill to be pain free and be normal. Oh yeah the worst part, this all came from the MMR vaccine that work told me I HAD to get.

Honey. If you are in pain take your meds and fuck everyone else. They don’t know the pain that you wake up with everyday. People without pain don’t get that we can’t get out of bed without our meds. You are right. It is not safe to take Tylenol and ibuprofen.

I got off mine after 19yr cause the pharmacy makes you feel like a drug addict I'm in pain now but I deal with it cause it's everyone that's judgmental. So now I just smoke pot.

I went through the same thing. I had to quit work as I was in carpentry. Jumped through hoops for 3 years. Pain clinic here in Canada did procedures for 1 year. 1st step unfortunately will be a pain clinic. Fingers crossed it’s descent. Next step is to find a good provider that’s willing to work with you. I stopped pain management and found a primary docotor that took over my meds. The only thing that helps with our issues for me is oxy and Percocet .. these are tools in our tool box. Extended relief and quick release oxy for breakthrough. It’s the only way I can endure the pain . Adjust to disability through work and adjust to this new normal. It’s a process but you will get through it

boohoo dgd abd herniated disks are part of life I have 3 titanium vertebrae with hardware also live in texas and work in the oilfield, I listed all my surgeries and have been dealing with it for over 25 years, you are not the only person who hurts, also had a crash shattered my foot and ankle in 148 places 2 surgeries couldn't walk 3 years, fractured skull and face shattered orbital bone, ONLY YOU LIMIT YOU
