This could do a lot of damage to other owners and their teams values. Buyers might be weary about offering top dollar if they think the league is going to arbitrarily deny their right to sell the team later to the seller of their choice. There is *some* reason for the league to be choosy around who buys in but the choosiness should be around which new owners will promote the game, not around which owners will pay the league (the other owners) the most money

Sooo can’t the owners and potential buyers file a lawsuit for restriction of trade? Teams are allowed to get the “best and fairest valuation” that they can. So Dingleberry trying to undercut the offer.. why would anyone take that offer? Does she have any form of Veto Power to stop teams selling? It would go through their Board of Governors (the team owners) right? So if they approve it, she doesn’t have a leg to stand on.. but if she managed to get it on the cheap, the payout from any lawsuit would be 10 fold! And the W wouldn’t see much of their new media deal as it would be needed to pay out any lawsuits 🙄😂
