I'm 🏳️🌈 and My Mormon mom has felt justified saying she will never be happy for me, that she won't love my children, that lgbt should be discriminated against by businesses.... she has voted for prop 8. For every religious conservative politician. She feels so emboldened and justified and righteous in making my life difficult

This is a fantastic interview!!! Such a powerful testament to the harm that the church causes. If the church could just be honest with itself and investigators and teach the entire history of the church and not hide those things that aren’t faith promoting, I’d have some respect. But they don’t and I have no respect for this organization.
