Doesn't bother me honestly that the requirement went down to zero. I spoke with the health department about it as well and got their feelings about it. I think this is actually a good thing. It is now on shop owners to make sure their people are following sanitation and holding their people to a certain standard. If not the shop itself loses the license. Not just the individual. For my shop I require some sort of apprenticeship. I don't care how long it is as long as they can recite sanitation steps to me and then I look at portfolios. Even with 520 hours a person can still suck at tattooing sanitation and skill. A person with less training then that can be amazing and care for others health. Anyways, long stuff there but, might help others form an opinion from two sides 🤷🏼♀️

That’s wild! Let alone you only needed 80 hours! We have to do 1,000 hours and that’s just the state let alone learning everything else needed as a business and the industry. Just wild.
