i relate soooo heavy to this. so much silliness everyday. personally i also love that im able to teach mindfulness skills by practicing myself. oftentime i stop and take deep breaths to calm down when i’m frustrated and instead of doing it in my head, i say out loud what i’m doing and why. the kids get to learn from that and i get a moment to recenter all in one

FOR REAL I was a pre K SPED school bus aid and I got to interact and regulate with kids in ways that aren't typical for adults!!! we'd be waiting on a parent to come out dor a long time and someone would start stimming vocally or physically id come and echo or redirect if needed/possible

That's great, love that for you. Personally, I'm the exact opposite. Kids are way too loud and unpredictable for my liking 😅

This is one of the many reasons I teach!! I ADORE working with kids, and my learning disability has helped me become a better teacher and advocate for many others. I can be myself around kids, but I feel I had to put a face on for adults. It’s draining!

Being authentic with kids is my favorite. I spent 10yrs+ in the field and now am still working with them, but as a school portrait photographer. They’re truly the best ✨
