I have to admit.. listening to your series on 9/11 from somebody who lived it is surreal. you look upon it with nostalgia or horror while I look back on it on genuine terror. I saw the announcements of building 7 falling when it was standing clear as day behind the reporter. there were things that weren't right during that day. I know that there are plenty of conspiracy theorists, but I am here to say things were not right that day.

It was PAUL SOMIN who rescued her along with Chief Joseph Downey, Dave Arcerie, Stan Brzenski, Tom Donnelly, Bill Esposito, Larry Gray, Larry Senzel, Tony Tedeshi and Tom O’Brian who went to her later and told her after she wrote the book. God bless FDNY Rescue 2 and all other rescue teams

I haven’t heard this story before. I heard one of seven people surviving in a stairwell. I think that might have been the South Tower.

I remember watching it fall on the news in 6th grade as my teacher broke down because his brother was in one of the towers. I tried to comfort him but how do you help in that situation? 💔😭

When a building rumbles, time for the stairs, NOT elevator. I never wear heels. The announcements to stay in place are to prevent a stampede. But a stampede is inevitable and there's no need to add to that. Best to be part of the initial outflow and help direct people at the bottom rather than stay 64 fl up where you can neither help nor be rescued.
