In the beginning I thought “it’s okay if they used AI as a tool to help their application” but as you read it out I became so annoyed at the lying/deception.

interesting, as i see most others recommend AI for job applications, and recommend the use of the words in the job post. For me, personally, I'm terrible at writing things out to convey the message i want, and would likely use ai for that.

I have experience with all those animals. Moved to a farm when young and we had chickens, horses, cows, pigs, turkeys, fish in a pond, and rabbits. Pet dogs and cats. I had a canary and finches in my adult years and pet dog and cats, and an aquarium for my kids.

So, people are too lazy to write their own application, people are lazy and just copy/paste the AI response instead of adapting it, editing it, etc. That shows me that the person was lazy or just didn't care enough to edit the application before sending it.

to be fair, re-using exact words and phrases from a JD is a tried and true cover letter strategy. It gets you through the dumb automatic filters a lot of places use.

Tbh when I write my application I do use phrases and words from the application to highlight I have the experience they want and to write in a similar style to the person hiring 😅 But other parts yes I agree, they're ai

on a side note, does your company offer services in a specific area of portugal? or all over? I'm about to move there and do have extensive experience with most of those animals, and more (horses excluded).
