Computers do lie. I got my license suspended because I couldn't pay my insurance (FL is strict) and when I got it all taken care of they gave me a piece of paper if I got pulled over in the meantime because it can take a few business days I guess to go through in the system? Idk how it is in other places but that's how it was for me.
