Wages are dropping in B.C. and Alberta, immigrants are being exploited, and our kids lose out. The blame isn’t on immigrants it’s on government, corporations, and people turning a blind eye because calling out exploitation is suddenly ‘racist.’ And sure, we’ve also got racists blaming immigrants who just came here chasing the Canadian dream, like my grandparents did so I could have a good life. But how do we expect newcomers to learn Canadian culture if Canadians won’t even hang out with them? It’s not totally on them we can’t blame them for that.
