Retractable leashes are for really, really well behaved or really small dogs. We only use these on ours when we want some smelling enrichment time because these are otherwise pretty unsafe.

I have this leash and my two SMALL dogs who are very well trained do well with this. Again, very well trained. And I’m paying attention the whole walk. It’s good. BUT 98.2% of dogs shouldn’t use this leash, retractable are bad.
