my boss just scheduled a mandatory team meeting after hours a 8 pm on Friday nite. is that legal and do we have to be paid for that time.

Our time clock does this thing where I punched out for break at 6:22.. it said “punch received at 6:15”.. then I punched back in at 6:53 and it said “received at 7.” So my half hour unpaid break became 45 mins unpaid cuz I had to wait 1 min for the other cashier to finish the customer transaction so I could punch back in. Meaning I worked 15 mins unpaid. Punch out at 10:36 it says “10:30”.. punch out at 10:24 it’s says “10:15”. So stupid.

my employer would have us fill out time sheets only for 40 hrs. the time clock was actually when we signed into our computer. They never paid me for all of the early mornings or late nights. they said it wasn't pre approved. belive me if I didn't need to be there early or late I wouldn't have been there. it happened for 3 years

I had a job were we I started my shift at 7 a.m. yes there’s people calling at 7a.m. But the computers were super slow and took about 10 min to start and then another 5 to start the programs, so I’ll put the calls on hold while I did all that my boss was so annoyed saying I had to be there 15 min early or more to ensure we’re answering calls at 7 oclock because they’re complaining and I said even if I answer I have to put it on hold while everything starts she kept saying I have to be earlier even harrashing me at 6:30 a.m. every day to ask if I was on my way I simply started ignoring her calls and messages she tried talking to me about it and I simply reply with “my workday starts at 7” she changes me to the afternoon and she still had the same problem lol

They don’t say it but they say we need to get there earlier when we have no grace period and are 2-3 minutes late. I work at 8am. I leave at 7am to make sure I will be 20 minutes early.
