I work in aviation. One thing we are all trained the most is security. Starting from to never show any security points, codes or what we use to open doors. It is a security risk, although I feel really bad for her. She deserves better, or at least a chance to learn from her mistakes.

You’re not supposed to film as a pax going through security or passport control and even at customs in the airport there are huge signs everywhere.

@Bruno: I used to work an airport, the minute a security camera would pick up staff videoing in parts of the airport like silly Snapchat videos, or goofing around with work friends they knew. Whoever you worked for was contacted, you were brought up and asked to delete the footage and further action if the airport wanted and deemed fit could be taken. It’s a silly mistake she made but people/staff forget that people..

So it’s not about the risk of theft, it’s about risk of something more serious at an airport. By seeing the procedure you can work out the flaws or potential flaws. It’s how you can bypass and get something to a passenger for nefarious purposes.

The reason the airport fired her was because you are not allowed to film in security and that she showed in full her airport security badge (so someone could copy it). That is not allowed in any airport. It would be up to MAC if she is fired for the whole showing the code to the till etc part. But she won’t be able to work in their concession in the airport again & I’d say if she does stay with Mac, there’ll be a demotion too.

You can see the code to opening the cash register but also apart from that in the U.K. we always have rules about recording media when going through security and you are not allowed to do that. Saw a tourist be spoken to for just taking a picture at airport security

If you work in an airport showing your ID is one of the most crucial things you need to be most careful of, I think this may potentially be the biggest factor as it is by far the most important💘

Agreed. But when I was in US last year there were signs to say no filming or pictures throughout security. I was so nervous… I wasn’t risking it haha

You’re not allowed to film in security it’s part of your contract. We had some security agents fired a few weeks ago for filming a TikTok at work (in security)
