Is it normal to not really shed before I apply the minoxidil and then as soon as I apply it I start shedding like crazy? It’s like once it sits after awhile its okay but the intial applying is causing major shed.

I’m a girl and I’m worried the pumpkin seed oil I’m using is too much it’s the Holland and Barrett cold pressed pumpkin seed oil but it’s 1000mg I know the recommended is 400mg and I’m worried I’m taking to much but I can’t afford this one are there any supplements that are cheaper or is the one I’m using now okay ? I haven’t seen it make much of a difference but it’s only been 3 weeks. Please help!
