trust me, us who pick up the slack of the "C players" are just as annoyed, but we get to the point of if we leave it to them it's either not gonna get done right, or not gonna get done at all

I work hard. It needs to get done, I do it. As I got older I realized I had a lot of resentment and backed off. It came as a shock to management. Absolutely my fault. I don’t do that any more.

the other problem is too many times the A player becomes so essential that they get passed over for promotions because they can't afford to lose the people who actually do all the work.

I hate that there is NO consequences for the slackers at work, and when someone says something about the sackers, they end up the bad guy.. its so frustrating to see bad behavior being allowed and getting reprimanded for complain 😒

I don't think people not doing their jobs is a separate category on that list- there is ALWAYS a reason- the smart thing is working out why and seeing if that's something you can fix. In this world, I don't think anyone 'just can't be bothered' to do their job for no reason.

i have this problem were I work. my MO does not understand what it is to work in a bar, and even me complaining of lack of others work, to a point of denied service to guests, having glasses dirty, unpolished, etc... I'm the wrong one, so my TL does her and their work when they all do kitchen work. I can't stand the MO anymore, looks like she wants to destroy the whole hotel, but then she send the " we need to have % in the reviews" just want to scream

One of my old managers messaged me 3 days after I quit, begging me to come back cause she never realized I was reason everything was so clean 😂 no one else did it.

my previous job we all had to save our work on dropbox so that if there's an issue we all have access and can find anything this one coworker never saved anything and would delete bank statements after processing instead of saving it in client files. the number of times I had to look for stuff that was just gone even the emails with the original data
