just few weeks ago & did exact same with main instead of baxi as had 2 quotes almost identical and got mixed up in my head but luckily they didn’t mind and payed the extra

Yea. Had a heat only delivered by mistake . Needed a system boiler was a right balls up . We are also massively busy

A family member got a free boiler once, grants came out and the neighbour got approved… come a week later they knocked my family members door and said we are here to swap out your old boiler he said go on then got a free boiler… next day they came back he said what are you going to do rip it out and put my old one back in? Unfortunately it was a lost cause for the company 😏 but we know they were raking it in

I had a funny situation the other day – two quotes, one for a conversion and one for heat-only to heat-only. My assistant told me, “Yes Daniel, the conversion is confirmed, the client sent an email with the reference quote” – but it was under conversion. After a whole day, the client asked me: “Daniel, why isn’t the boiler in the same place?” I explained that a conversion means it was supposed to go in the bathroom. Then she said she actually wanted heat-only, not a conversion 😅 So in the end, we did a full conversion with new gas pipework – all at the heat-only price 🤣

Safe home heating :
I have had it where I have written out a written quote and invoice where customer wants main eco with 5 years waranty but when it comes to paying they say we wanted 10 years waranty 🤣 told them pay the difference and it can be changed but that’s when they realise it’s not gana work and back track

I fit a Vaillant and the flue clearance wasn’t enough. They have crap clearance tolerances. Changed it for a Worcester Bosch which had better flue clearance. It paid anyway the Bosch was £200 cheaper and by the time the next job needed a Vaillant the Vaillant price went up by £200. In total all that hassle still paid £400.
