As a former chemist, I follow the arguments fairly closely. There is not enough research to definitively say what the potential long-term effects of either nHA or mHA would be. (In research, it seems like there is always a need for more research.🥰😂) You’ve covered things fairly well, so I will give my personal experience: My teeth were so bad, they looked blue-gray all around the sides and on the ends. Various teeth were chipping, and my teeth were quite sensitive to cold. After a year of NOBS, all of that has been fixed: my teeth are are all solidly white again around the edges, there has been no more chipping, and my teeth are no longer sensitive to cold. In addition, my hygienist confirmed that the enamel area on the backside of one of my teeth, which had mostly eroded away, was expanding again. It hasn’t fully recovered, but there is definite improvement. 🥰🥰🥰

No, nano-hydroxyapatite is not entirely banned in the EU; rather, a EU regulation 2024/858 restricts its use and specifically bans needle-shaped particles, while allowing certain rod-shaped particles under specific conditions for cosmetics and oral products. The ban on needle-shaped nano-hydroxyapatite and other nanomaterials came into effect from February 1st, 2025
