I do agree its theft. but i think its wrong to wait till its enough for him to be arrested. could have easy just said hey don't do that or just terminate the employment.

Did anyone at Meijer try to find out what was going on with this kid? Doubtful. I heard he was taking out of date fruit cups. If so,maybe find out why he was not able to get them in date and pay for them. Sounds like no one wanted to get answers until blowback happened.

should have asked. warm food is bad. out of date is bad . had meat and cheese etc left on shelves all day and spoiled. fruit is bad in days.

Why do you make concessions for someone who has a disability? Isn’t that’s what you leftists preach, treating everyone with equality? If he is working, then he know right from wrong. If he is taking expired food or food in the trash that’s a health and safety issue. At least at the police station they can have social services help him get what he needs. Perhaps he can qualify for food stamps. Everything happens for a reason.

Well it was fruit cups that were going to be discarded and he took them because they were going to just be thrown away. Meijer really did mess up on this one.

Food that was slated for the trash.. There's not one in my area but I would never shop there.. These same companies are the big DEI company..

110$ worth of food over three months that was otherwise gonna get thrown away. it was literally already counted as a loss. thats like if you got arrested for eating a piece of pizza out of the dumpster
