I used to have to be 90 minutes early because my autistic son would start freaking out if he didn’t see me within 5 minutes of bell. He was sure I forgot about him. Now, he has an aide and I can get in line 15 minutes after the bell rings and it’s GLORIOUS.

Some people have appointments after school so they need to be first in line to make it there. Some people have toddlers that nap at that time it’s easier to nap in the car than wake them up and take them. All kinds of reasons actually

It’s wild. I can go be first in line and sit for two hours or be last in line and sit for ten minutes 😂

I go about 45 min early the parking is a mile down the road. I have to get out and walk to the gate to get the kids then walk back and sit In traffic trying to get out of the school zone it’s so annoying

When my youngest was still a baby I would go early around nap time so he would sleep in the car and I wouldn’t have to move him from crib-car. Not any more though.

We have to be 55 minutes early if we don’t wanna be a mile away, I go and sit and scroll chat with a friend or whatever so that my kid doesn’t have to stand in 102 degree heat for 30 minutes

The school keeps the kids in the gym until their parent arrives, so I arrive 20mins after school lets out. I pull right in and get my kid, minimal waiting in line.

I had to try to be as close to first in line as I could picking up my niece at school as I had to go to the next town to pickup my grandchildren. The school would not let the grandkids walk home for some reason a third and fifth graders. No bus for them as we lived on the same road as the school very rural and right behind the school and up the hill. It was ridiculous.

I used to be first in line at the high school that dismissed first so I could then be on time to pick up my youngest at the elementary school. If I wasn’t one of the first 10 cars at the high school, I’d be late picking up the little ones. I had a system
