I literally had a satin and lace bridal purse that a relative made for me. At the wedding reception, people would come up to give a kiss and a hug and they would press the money into either my hand or my husband's hand and into the purse it would go!

In America they give the envelopes at the end BUT in Italy they give the envelopes at the beginning of the ceremony. 😅 Logging the the names and how much they gave you is a real thing 😅
