@ablack_fitness: Dos & Don'ts on your calorie deficit for weight loss journey #2025weightlossgoals #howtocaloriedeficit #sustainbleweightloss #over30weightlosswomen #weightlosstipsforwomen
As someone at 1 month of daily walking and tracking calories, I needed to hear this. The scale hasn’t moved much but k FEEL like my body is changing. Patience is what I need

I lost 1-2lbs the first 3 weeks, currently on week 4 and I’ve suddenly lost 5lbs without making any changes! Consistency works 💪

I spent the first month just walking everyday (1hr) and maintaining that calorie deficit without putting any pressure on the food I ate. I’d just use portion sizes to make the calorie math work. Over than month I just naturally started making better food choices because of how I felt instead of some crazy pressure I was putting on myself. I still find room for a treat almost every day but never go over my deficit. This really works because I don’t feel restricted. Now I want to work on increasing my protein and fiber and it doesn’t feel daunting as it would have if I had started with everything at once in the beginning.

I have lost 23 pounds in 20 weeks. Some weeks I even gain a pound while doing the same exercise/eating but then when I look at the long haul that is about 1 pound a week which seems SLOW but I am not starving and it is better than 25 more pounds gained!

I have daily and a weekly goal. If my daily is off a little I make sure my week aligns with my goal. First time I’ve ever been successful in weightloss…giving myself grace and seeing the long term picture

Any suggestions for those with adhd? I have a really hard time remembering to track and it ends up feeling exhausting even when I'm seeing results.

I really struggle calorie counting evening meals. When I’m cooking for my family and I’m throwing XYZ in a tray bake or a spag bol etc and I don’t know how to get around that. It always becomes a pain after work/school and I give up£

I find measurements help. I also noticed it depends on my cycle. naturally, we are all a little heavier and bloated when we approach periods.

I've been on a calorie deficit diet for 8 months and I don't target specific numbers like 1200kcal per day (as I'm told). Sometimes I eat 1500kcal, sometimes lower than 1200kcal and sometimes I go a little over my maintenance calories but I'm still losing weight. From 71kg to 58kg now. and I'm 4'9 🙃. I walk 9k-10k steps daily.

9 months later, I'm 20kg down. While I'm starting to transition to your "transitioning to maintenance" content, this has felt so sustainable, thank you so much for all the learnings along the way

The 5/2 split idea has been so helpful for me. It’s easy to eat very strict when I’m at work. But when I’m cooking for others on the weekends they don’t always want super low cal meals.

I’ve been really struggling with a 500 calorie deficit and I think I may need to do a 300-400 deficit instead. I just don’t want it to take longer! 😭
