Religion should not be taught to children. They should be taught how to be kind, respectful, honest and hardworking individuals. When religion asks children to simply accept their dogmas despite being against logic, it stumps the child's critical thinking abilities.

When people pray (“talk to god,” etc), they are essentially, effectively, taking a subconscious part of themselves, projecting it into outer space, then talking to it!

At 10, I remember leaving church service saying I think people believe in god because they fear the unknown and it helps them sleep at night

I was indoctrinated into religion from infancy. Luckily, it just didn’t seem logical or even moral to me. I’m an atheist who loves humanity and treats folks with respect and empathy.

I grew up the same way in an Italian/Catholic family and would never doubt superstition or religion! It took many years to be an atheist but iam much more content. It’s all clear to me now!!
