This might sound a little strange, but people that don’t like you also being around your kids you’re giving them access to you as well because they want information and kids usually are easier to give away information about you. Never let your enemy too close.

Some kids hold resentment for the way their parent is treated also. I know because I was one. It put me in a parental role feeling like I needed to protect my parent. Don't let that be your kids.
