I’m playing a Vampire campaign that was set in Las Vegas, but the GM had Vegas destroyed by a Nuke! We’re supposed to find out who nuked Vegas. I read the Vegas lore in WOD, and found out the city used to be ruled by the Camarilla, with a Tremere Chantry, a Giovanni presence, and a secret base of the Ministry, before vampires were expelled by the Second Inquisition. Pentex also has a strong hold on the city, as it fuels the Wyrm, being a completely artificial city. There is also a Technocracy stronghold in the city. Now that Vegas has been destroyed, it’s affected the Second Inquisition, Pentex, and the Technocracy’s holdings in the city. We don’t know if Garou nuked the city to fight the Wyrm, or if the bomb might have been magical in origin, caused by a ritual performed by Mages.

Subtle railroading is a skill every dm should learn so this kind of thing doesn’t happen (unless you’re cool with it then by all means spend 4 sessions in a Cracker Barrel in game lol)

I have a slightly evil plan to let the players create their own quests. I plan to run a Vampire the Masquerade campaign and a Mage: The Ascension campaign simultaneously. One week, they play their coterie trying to achieve their various goals, next week their mages deal with the fallout of Vampire shenanigans in their city, week after that the coterie has to deal with a group of mages that are paying too much attention to their actions.

One Session my grangrel had nothing to do while the coterie was running some errands, so I just went to check a place cut to two months later and we killed the sherif and the sire of one of the players.
