I have such a deep admiration and appreciation for you and your work. Madama Butterfly is one of the operas we cover in our non-majors course and the ending is always devastating so Nadine and Nelly having reunited is beautiful beyond words 😭💛

I saw the movie Nelly&Nadine at a queer film festival and I (barely) held it together, until they interviewed the descendants of some of the survivors the couple helped escape and one said she was named after Nadine. Their legacy is so strong and it makes me wonder how many other people are not honoured properly now just because their identities were considered "other" by society.

I went there on a school trip where we visited different camps in Europe. It left a lasting impression on me. The stories there were harrowing. The feeling of being there.. I can't describe how awful it felt. Thank you for sharing a story from there that is lovely instead of horrible ❤️

My Grandfather was always going to take me to the Opera, he had seen Madam Butterfly and found it very moving. he had always wanted to take me, he wasnt a big one for high art, I loved his connection to that opera
