@shepherdplayspiano: I've been talking with my doctor about my concerns and she prescribed me some anti-nausea meds. We also decided to keep me at the lowest dose of Zep, if I decide to continue. I feel like quitting this so early on is giving up, but I also feel like my eating habits on this aren't healthy. Ultimately, the decision is up to me, but I need some words of wisdom or something. Does anyone have any advice? 😫 #weightloss #zepbound #healthjourney #food #healing
Don’t give up, thise side effects are normal, you get used to them eventually and you’ll find love in other things then eating. Try to do things outdoor with your family and exercises, it helps me not think about food. I struggle a lot with weight loss during the years, took every medication out there, I know its not easy, but you can do it!

You gotta drink a lot of water, eat a lot of protein & fiber and stay away from sugar/excess carbs/greasy food. It absolutely gets better and I feel amazing as long as I eat healthy and eat reasonable portions

I take wegovy with little to no side effects. Ozempic was awful for me. Maybe change to a different one?

My neighbour is on it and she felt the same till she cracked the code. Protein and no fried stuff. She has like 3 protein shakes a day and all her meals are high protein. She also eats no fried food (except air fried) as fast food and highly processed foods make her feel so ill

Your symptoms are normal. Ask your doctor for Zofran, it saved me. Good luck! Trust me it will get better, drink lots of water and eat lots of proteins

I started on ozempic and had to very slowly move up my dose as my body was very sensitive and my doctor told me to just trust how I was feeling

Hi I am a (French) dietitian who work at hospital. So basically the medicine they prescribe you for weight loss like wegovy or else. They are use to trick your brain and give you a sense of fullness really early or no sens of hunger.

Protein- protein shakes, meat snacks, etc. It is so, so important. I've been on Mounjaro for over a year and have gone from 320 pounds to 170. The nausea WILL subside. It did for me anyways. Unless I upped my dose, then there was an adjustment period.

I would stick with it but I wouldn’t jump up in dose when they tell you to! Stay on the lowest dose you can for as long as you can/until you stop losing. Jumping in dose is when I felt worse.

My nausea is intermittent, mostly the worst if I've forgotten to eat. I make sure I have easily accessible healthy snacks to chomp on if I get nauseous or if I feel like I'm too nauseous to eat.

I get little spurts of nausea but it’s manageable for me with Zofran and peppermints which I don’t love but it cuts the nausea immediately for me

I suggest you keep going. It's ok if you're not hungry, keep hydrated always. Try snacking on greens.

I love it, pay lots of money for it. I never had side effects besides not wanting to eat. You get used to it. You should be eating enough but most eat way too much, it’s very surprising how little food we actually need. I’ll buy your meds for $160😂jk jk

I try ozempic a few times but I couldn’t stand the side effects, so I feel you. I wasn’t eating because I was so sick all the time, so it wasn’t healthy. That was a year ago. Mounjaro became available in Brazil a few months ago in Brazil and my doctor told me to give it a try in the lowest dose possible because it had less side effects. He also gave a meal plan made to help to lose weight AND help the side effects of these kind of meds. I was so scared because it’s expensive and I hate feeling sick. I’m on the second week now and and it’s been so much better. I feel the meal plan has been helping the side effects so much but I think the medicine is better as well. Also, I’ve been walking 2km a day with my dog to help my digestive system. And, I hope, that, with this process being a little easier, I can heal my relationship with food, now that the food noise is lower and I can hear my body. Therapy is also going on. It a lot of small steps and trying! Don’t give up! You got it! I’m here if you need tô talk! 🥰❤️

I’m on Wegovy, almost no side effects. I am eating less. But barely any nausea. Maybe a med switch.

My fiance is on Zep and I’m also a nurse. Your symptoms are normal! Start your day with a protein shake (or make a protein coffee! My fave!) it usually helps to minimize the nausea. :)

Electrolytes is a must. Also fat free foods… the glp1 promotes slower digestion so you need to go easy. But to answer your question, yes weight loss usually calorie deficit but not malnutrition.
