@anna..papalia: ⬇️ Here are 6 things that you need to do in your next job interview to get a job offer. 1️⃣ Never sit with your hands in your lap. There is a lot of research that backs this up. When you sit with your hands in your lap you are perceived as not trustworthy and insecure. I don’t know about you but in a job interview I want to be seen as trustworthy and confident and if all it takes is to put my hands on the table, that’s easy. Also, don’t forget to smile 😊 Smiling helps you feel less nervous, and it tells others that you are friendly and approachable. 2️⃣ Say your interviewers name because people like the sounds of their own name. “Thanks for meeting with me today, Mike.” It’s really that easy to get someone to like you. 3️⃣ While you are at it, pay them a compliment. No. Not a personal compliment. Do not talk about them personally or compliment them, their appearance or anything creepy. Compliment the company. Compliment the interview process. Compliment the projects they are doing. Compliment the office. 👉Watch this @Anna Papalia for 5 Ways to Compliment your interviewer 👈 4️⃣ Preparation. There is no substitute for preparation. Obviously, you need to do your research and know what the company does, but most people spend too much time on this and not enough time preparing for interview questions. A job interview in the most basic sense is just a set of questions about you, and the more you know yourself the better you’ll do. You need to practice interview questions. 5️⃣ At the end of the job interview when they say, “Do you have any questions for us?” You need to be prepared with impressive questions to ask them. And whatever you do do NOT ask them, “Are there any reasons why you wouldn’t want to hire me?” Because they are not going to tell you the truth and why would you plant seeds of doubt at the end of the interview. Instead impress them with great questions. 6️⃣ I get it, I know you need a job and you are feeling desperate and crazy, but you cannot tell them that. And I know this sounds obvious but being eager and enthusiastic will backfire because we want what we can’t have so you need to play hard to get. Corporate recruiters value what they can’t have so tell them that you are actively interviewing and you have a lot of opportunities coming up. 👉Watch this @Anna Papalia to learn how to play hard to get in job interviews👈 Trust me. 📘Get an Interviewology Profile which is a 40-page customized workbook that gives you everything you need to nail your next job interview. With all due respect, the job market is much more complex than you are making it seem.

I hate how getting a job is about knowing how to play the game. I feel like you need a whole degree on how to act when interviewing for a job.

Why is interviewing such an act? Why being genuine not more valued? Hope to see a distruption soon

So you could be the most eligible person to a position but someone else gets it just because he "seemed" better in the interview; I think the world needs a more reliable approach.

It’s solid advice, the issue is getting to any interview. The moment a position opens up the gates are flooded and you’re drowned out, the ATS is against you the whole time, and in the end you need to know someone at the company to stand a shot.

The interview process is honestly super outdated. It’s all about who can act the fakest just to get a job. Yes I want to work here because I need MONEY.

so I can't ask what are the day to day response because it's a terrible question that will cost me the job but the interviewers can ask me about my job experience like they didn't receive my resume?

Unfortunately, from my experience, it often makes little difference what you say or how much experience you have. Many recruiters already have a specific type of person in mind and usually decide within the first few minutes whether they will offer you the job or not. The most absurd part is that some recruiters have less experience than the candidates they’re assessing.

What’s up :
You can do all these, plus even more, and still get tossed aside like a tissue because employers know that job seekers don’t have much options right now and they are abusing this job market heavily right now

not sure abt the last one, if they ace at the interview but on the last question they show me that they have better opportunities and our company isnt really on the top list im not gonna hire that. why shouldnt i hire someone who is both good and is interested in our company instead?
