@a.haven.inbloom: This was such an easy DIY project that you can do on a free weekend! 😊 Here's how I did it 👇: 1) We bought shiplap panels from Home Depot (yes! We did not use traditional shiplap) and had them cut them down to the size we needed. For this project, we just used 2 panels since it's a small space, and we decided to go with these for ease of installation. 2) We secured the panels with brad nails. 3) We installed a 1/2" x 3" horizontal board on top of the shiplap panels. 4) We also added another 1/2" x 3" board on top of that first horizontal board to create a ledge. I wanted to add this ledge for styling purposes but you can skip this step if you want. 5) This was also optional but we added a trim (WM163) on top of our baseboard. 6) Then I filled in all the nail holes with wood filler, sanded them down, and caulked for a seamless finish! 7) It's finally time for paint! We went with Sherwin Williams Evergreen Fog. I made sure to paint in all the grooves with a paintbrush first before finishing with a paint roller. And that's it! So easy, right? 😊 We literally took 2 days to complete this project. We probably could have gotten away with finishing this in 1 day, but we didn't feel like we needed to rush it. 😅 Again, my husband and I are not professionals, but this was what worked for us!
