I came to the comments to suggest that this looks like a really dangerous thing to put on a steering wheel and found a ton of comments that mention their nickname and that they are illegal. This makes my instincts feel validated.

They are illegal in pretty much every state and only legal. If you have it on a tractor or some sort of heavy equipment that has a steering wheel then it's okay, most of them are called things that are inappropriate nowadays just saying.

I did a little research. there was no Nationwide ban on steering wheel knobs. however there are some counties in some states that have put a ban on them. if you want to use one first, check with your county to see if there's a ban on it or not.

Umm no. The vehicles that require this needs a lot of rotations to make a turn. Cars only need 2 rotations for a full turn. U don’t need that. Plus its a safety hazard

First time I saw people using these widespread was when I was in South Korea in the late 90’s. Came back to the US and found out that they’re illegal in most states.
