It was a lightning strike, and it happens frequently down here. The Everglades actually need a burn. It’s part of the lifecycle for that area.

As a Florida natives, yes we do have these fires yearly but this one is 0% contained and we don’t see anything improving. I live in Plantation and we have ash on our cars that is not normal.

With all the water around and I didn’t see any helicopters
The people worried about animals. They have a survival instinct im sure majority of the wildlife evaded the area

To NON-FLORIDIANS, this is normal. It happens every year. They seldom get out of control & are constantly monitored. If the fires get too large, people with breathing issues are told to stay inside. It’s all good, all normal & typical.

Funny how people are saying it’s a normal thing in Florida, but when it happens in California It’s the governor’s fault. Nobody’s cleaning the forest blah blah blah fire happens. It happens here in New Jersey. It happened quite a few times here this year.

Plz. It’s has been a dry year but this is typical. Before ya tic tok environmentalists go crazy it’s common and controlled. Natural part of glades replenishment. It burns the the top. what you see is the sunset in the background headin west on alligator alley.

There are a lot of prescribed fires done in the Everglades. it could have also been lightning. Floridian vegetation grows back quickly too.

Crazy how it happens every summer like clockwork. I would assume that since its hurricane season and on/off rainy weather that it would be too damp to catch fire so easily but my assumption seems to be wrong every year

It was worse than that in the 70s. It was raining ashes in Davie Florida. It was so bad for weeks.
