Adjusted for inflation since 1980, the cost should now be $22.25 for the exact same meal. Which also does not account for how much the quality has gone down as well. But in 2019, that would have only cost a little over $17. So that meal adjusted for inflation, rose an average of $.30 per year for 39 years and then jumped to an $.82 per year rate of inflation for the past four years.
