@jashiproject: Replying to @gojou-senpai'stoenail let me explain why most of the poor countries around the world tend to have a waist stronger, family bond, and culture than the United States and use this to explain what true wealth is compared to what Americans believe it is #Family #Wealth
It’s not being rich. It’s feminism. Feminism and democrats trashed family values and marriage and incentivized single parents. Marriage rates dropped off the cliff.

I think it is also a "culture" of independance not just a factor of wealth.

I'm as white as they come, and my husband and I fully support our adult kids and grandchild- from Italy now. I so appreciate the culture here. There is no respect or appreciation for what my husband and I do for our kids. Its not like that in Italy. As a lifelong stay at home mom and wife, I appreciate that on a certain level.

Less than 1 percent is rich in America. The middle class works 2, 3 or more jobs to take care of themselves and the “poor” & most of the time, we aren’t given an option as to whether we “help” or not. That’s how the rich keeps the middle class living paycheck to paycheck

It was that way when my family immigrated to nyc, but over time we started making $$$ (what we came to America to do) with that we moved, worked more chasing the $. Now 54 and retired (waiting on my wife 5yrs to go) moving back to Italy… chasing the family dream one big circle

Absolutely! Economic independence and wealth(+ pursuit of)= less multigenerational homes and close knit communities= Independence & Individualism= Isolation, higher costs, weaker bonds to family&community, & negatively impacts the environment.

The US isn’t acting this way because we’re “rich”. We are isolated because we are taught to be individualistic. We aren’t supposed to depend on anyone else.

The U.S. is not a monoculture, I’m from a part of the U.S. where family is everything and you don’t outsource family things 🤷🏻♂️

Not true, as an Arabian from Arabian Gulf we do value family and we are considered as rich contries and rich people
I believe because this is the cultural of capitalism that ideologies the idea of individualism

This is so true. I’ve lived in Colombia and even the taxi driver will help you at tht doctor. As a culture you give of yourself. It’s not controversial to help someone like in the US.

It may be a matter of money to a degree, but many other factors play into it too:
In the USA, most families don't eat together at the table every day, they don't have extended family nearby because people move to different states due to work and other reasons, the kids tend to all have their own rooms where they shut themselves in (due to bigger houses), there is an expectation that kids must move out after finishing school, the kids in school go to different class rooms instead of being with the same class mates, etc.etc.

I live in the U.S. and my family is everything. Not sure why people think Americans are all the same. I’m so sick of the nonsense.
