You need a municipal permit Sisi. get the permit. City of Johannesburg offers permits to hawkers, you have to pay for it.

That pavement looks very clean and walkable … I have never seen such in years! Those shelters are not for vendors they are to provide shelter for people during heat/rain.

Propose a meeting with other SA Vendors, and ask the Municipality to offer you a "Temporary Permits". with a proof of SA Documents (ID). Hopefully they'll assist. 🤷
