these things are not powered by salt and water, but rather by the oxidation of a metal like magnesium. the saltwater serves as an electrolyte. depending on the amount of metal they can go for up to days, but are not reusable.

First grade behaviors have been a LOT lately 😅 Tattling, arguing over materials, pushing in line, skipping spots… and with a class this big, it can feel overwhelming trying to address every little situation. That’s why I was so excited to partner with SchoolBeat! @Schoolbeat is a PreK–12 social-emotional learning platform with ready-to-use video lessons that model everyday situations and let students explore different choices. Teachers, just press play. No prep. More meaningful conversations, less time lesson planning! My students jumped right into one of their lessons, and I was honestly so impressed with the conversation that came from it. They got to put themselves in another student’s shoes, problem-solve, talk through their emotions, and come up with solutions together. Sometimes we just need to pause the academics for a few minutes and give our students the tools to navigate the situations they’re experiencing every single day.
